Battle of the Bulge - One man's struggle

Well - very good progress. I've been on a low carb diet for a week and I'm down to 15st 7. Five pounds off in a week, according to the scale.
I'm willing to accept that I might not have lost that much actual fat. Maybe 15st 12 was a false reading. I mean, it was definitely my weight on that day, using a digital scale, but perhaps some of it was water. Maybe I was closer to 15st 10, and perhaps some of what I've lost is water weight. Still, it's heartening to see the scale going down so much.
I doubt I can continue losing this fast. Target is to hit 15st 4 by the end of the month. That's the weight I was at, or thereabouts, for much of the last two years. Once I get there, 15st will be the next target.

I finally made it. I'm 15st 1 and I've been at that weight for a week now, so it isn't just a blip.
It's taken nineteen months but I'm a stone lighter than I was on 1 January 2017!
I always said this was a long term project. I didn't think it was going to be quite as long drawn out as this, but progress is progress, even if it's very slow progress.
The target now is to drop below 15st. I want to be on the other side of 15st at the end of this year. I don't care if I'm 14st 13, so long as I'm under that 15st mark. Then next year I'll set my sights on 14st...even if it takes another nineteen months to get there....

Well, I haven't reported on progress for the last couple of months...that's because there ain't been any progress. I got on the scales today and I'm still 15st 3. Still, at least I'm still not getting any fatter...
It's plain as day I need to do something different. I haven't made any significant progress now for a year.
I think the missing ingredient is exercise. I'm simply not doing enough.
Trouble is, I don't have much time to change that right now.

I've been 15st 3 for the last two days running. It's taken me a while to get there, but I made it. 15 3 was about the lowest I managed to get last year, at least for more than a few days at a time - I did touch 15st 2 a couple of times, but I couldn't sustain it for long. So it's good to have pretty much matched last year's lowest weight and now I can start working on beating it.
